Re: New Non-BOSS Pedals
I, on the other hand, had a nice Ebay score as well.
And I can confirm it sounds equally great with an acoustic guitar, acoustic bass and electric bass.
It was designed for "acoustic instruments" according to Fishman, so it has a very wide but musical range.
All effects are blended in parallel so they may not sound as deep as a serial style pedal, but the added subtleness isn't really an annoyance.
The EQ, compressor and boost work great, the fake wood looks very cool, it just misses a tuner.

Re: New Non-BOSS Pedals
A new toy came in last week. This Ken Multi MDL-7 Analog Delay (the same as the Aria ADL-1) is a really good and surprisingly bright sounding BBD delay (MN3205). After tweaking the trimpots it has a good maximum delay time and feedback can go to self-oscillation now. It has stereo out with splitted direct and effect signal, which is very nice.
The pedal came without the battery cover and it was missing a complete knob, hence the low price of 20 EUR including shipping. I took the missing parts from an awful (!!!) sounding Ken Multi MDT-28 Bass Distortion that I bought for a few Euros a few months ago. It doesn't look too pretty, but it does the job. Now I have a cheap and compact analogue delay that I can take onto stage any time.

Nice!
Re: New Non-BOSS Pedals
This one took me by surprise...
Was in a store and saw the Hello Kitty Fuzz. Gave it a listen and really liked how gnarly it is.
It came home.
I'm not a Hello Kitty person, nor would I just get it to be ironic. It's a cool pedal, and happens to be pink. Maybe I'll put it on a board with the DC3, the pink Han-Taun and Ibanez AD80..?

It's a cool fuzz. It completely cuts the signal if you turn the fuzz knob fully CCW. Setting the fuzz around 2-4 and the tone below 4, it's a pretty cool sounding dirt. Once the fuzz goes over 4, it gets gnarly, over 8 and it's a can of sputtering bees.

Excellent, some wonderful new "scores" Pepe.Pepe wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 3:00 pmA new toy came in last week. That one looks like it will do the job well. Oddly, I don't think I have seen the Analog delay of that grey KM series yet over here.
I have the compressor that looks the same sitting in my 'spares' though

Nice, love the pink and white knobs (though could do without the hello kitty icon haha).bigtone23 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2024 6:02 amThis one took me by surprise...

I've seen some opportunistic folk attempting to sell these (I assume imported?) for $250 here in Japan! (It's mostly listed as "sold out").
