Looking great so far! Are you going to put some foam on the inside of the bottom just in case that the adhesive spacers might come off over the years? Or will some of the potentiometers (or the filter switch) be directly soldered to the board so it will definitely keep it in position?

I haven't decided yet whether to use the adhesive standoffs or screws through from the top. Leaning towards the screws and spacers approach because it gives more options for the pots and it gives more space under the board.

If I end up with the adhesive spacers, I have faith in modern adhesives. Plus by the time it fails, I'll be so old it won't matter (to me) :?

Finished. A faithful replica of a Vintage (V2) Deluxe Electric Mistress with one of the last surviving NOS Reticon SAD1024 chips.

Only differences from the original are:
- External 18VDC power, with 24V Zener protection diode added.
- 3PDT switching with LED indicator.

Controls from left to right are Color / Range / Rate
Didn't bother with labels. This one is burned into my brain ;)

A beast to properly trim - there are five (5) trim-pots! But works perfectly. Subtle, beautiful tone.

Great job Laurie. Really neat work as always. Makes me wonder what other little gems are in your parts bucket ;)

Thanks! Regretfully, there is nothing even close to the Reticon chip :?

That looks great. Any chance we can hear it, on a youtube clip perhaps?

It really does sound "that good". I can see why the hype about the chip and this design. It is on my mono board and will stay there... Luckily the power supply already installed on the board had one 18VDC output :D

@Dirk - I'll try to get a clip of the sound at some point.
