Is there much of a sound difference between the earlier CE-2s with the 3007 chip, and the later ones with 3207?
EDIT: I've just been reading conflicting opinions on this chip business. Is it even true that the later ones changed to a 3207?
I've had the early long dash CE-2 and my green label MIT at the same time and they sounded exactly the same. I sold the silver screw for bank and kept the MIT. I have pics somewhere of the innards of both, but can't find where they are.
Maybe the chipset changed when the made the CE-3 which I thought sounded icy rather than warm like the CE-2.laurie wrote: ↑Thu Feb 18, 2021 11:36 pmhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-V8QJlu-rw
My records show that every CE-2 I've ever owned, MIJ or MIT has used the MN3007.
