I quite like the square-chip DD-3. Did you know that it is pretty similar to the long-chip? A few differences in how the circuit is implemented, but essentially the same functionally. I could never tell the difference between the long-chip and square-chip versions I had.

Re: New BOSS pedals!
Hey guys, thank you all for the compliments.
As I said before, joking, it is your fault that I'm now more interested in MIB pedals, so thank you for that.
Laurie, I didn't compare the square with the long chip yet, but now that you did mention, tomorrow by day I will (it's 8:23 pm and I live in an apartment).
Now, after this crazy spent of money, I will save for a while for the TB-2W.

Hey Laurie, I just had the time to compare the two versions of the DD-3, and I found out that, to my ears and pedals, I think that the long chip has a tiny little small minuscule "softness" in the repetition compared to the square chip, witch has a more crispy effect.laurie wrote: ↑Wed Jan 20, 2021 10:37 pmI quite like the square-chip DD-3. I must emphasize that I am splitting hair here, but I heard a little more "pleasant softness" coming out of the long chip unit.
Anyway, I love them both and as I want to have all the variations of each model, the square chip is a step forward to accomplish my dream collection.
Cheers.

Re: New BOSS pedals!
Sounds good! I'd agree the long-chip likely has more perceived softness. But ... they are *close*, eh?
Re: New BOSS pedals!
It finally arrived.
It is amazing how mint it is, not a small sign of ever being used, even smells like brand new!
43 years old and looks like it was put together today.
