How bad could it be?
Well I'm gonna find out, picked one up on a whim (been a while since I've had a new pedal to play with) for cheap, should have it in a week or so

I enjoyed it. Just not an OD guy but very clean, crisp, very responsive. I'm a digital guy though, so you might hate it. Ended up selling it as I don't need to carry an extra OD with an MS-3 but it's underrated as far as I'm concerned.
Enjoy!
Enjoy!

Re: How bad could it be?
I'm of the opinion that things are never so bad that they can't get worse.
However, I have DN-2 and I like it quite a bit. It's been a while since I've had it out to play, though. The DN-2 does pale compared to the SD-1 and OD-3, though.
I got my DN-2 when Musician's Friend was blowing them out as a Stupid Deal of the Day (back when MF actually had decent gear discounted.)

Your first quote, like Laurie's, makes me nervoustunghaichuan wrote: ↑Mon Dec 07, 2020 9:37 pmI'm of the opinion that things are never so bad that they can't get worse.

I like the SD-1, love the BD-2, and loathe the OD-3 (so bassy, not responsive, just...ugh).
We will have to see where this lands, I suppose. For the record, I liked the PW-2 too, maybe the misfits suit me

Re: How bad could it be?
So finally got to try it out Christmas eve, when i was supposed to be wrapping gifts in the basement..and uh..i kinda like it! It's got a little bit less low end than the BD-2w in custom mode, but overall, tonally, they are very much in the same ballpark. Volume control sensitivity seems to be about the same, and touch sensitivity on the DN-2 is a bit greater.
I'm not disappointed with this purchase at all, considering it was brand new in box for like $100 CAD.

Re: How bad could it be?
Looks like new! I received one in an old pedal exchange. It had been regifted a few times but I kept it. It's very different compared to a SD-1 because they may be intended for different uses. Other boss overdrives work really well as a boost into a dirty amp. The DN-2 as a stand alone pedal into a clean amp seems to be a better use. It's worth having considering the low price.
