I own a Klark Teknik active direct box, and the build quality is excellent.

I wonder how close it sounds to the Roland?

I've never seen or heard a real Roland of that type in person. I wouldn't have an frame of reference to compare the Roland to the Klark Teknik. Hopefully, it will sound good.

I saw a vintage unit on Ebay for $1699US +shipping, so if the Klark Teknik is even close, it will be a bargain.

Or maybe I should just get the DC-2W pedal.

No, not me. I have no affiliation with that YouTube channel.

Leon's channel is pretty cool. He does lots of 80s and 90s rack gear reviews.

I agree with his take on the Klark Teknik, though. I wish they'd make a model that was only 1U high, 2U takes up a lot of space for what that processor does.
