Vintage carbon composition resistors - always drift

This is from the red-knob "The Twin" I'm working on. A 470 Ohm resistor now measuring 655 Ohms. This definitely unbalances the tube bias.

It's the exact reason why some vintage amps sound good and others sound like crap.
