Interesting! I wonder, though, if the resistor tool is really useful. Doesn't it do the job that a simple potentiometer could do?

Couple of advantages to using resistor decade box
- No chance of bumping it and changing the setting
- It gives really fine control over the resistance ... down to one Ohm resolution.
- Only need the one device rather than a selection of pots.

It makes sense to me
