Stewmac light cycle II
Picked up one of these locally on the weekend. Unopened (unbuilt). Will be an interesting pedal... l haven't seen the LDR approach before.

Re: Stewmac light cycle II
Nice! I just read that it is an exact copy of the Mu-Tron Phasor II. Very interesting!

Very cool!
I have an original Phasor II I got in a trade in the mid 90s. Been living on the big, cumbersome board ever since.
It's a proper, big, cumbersome pedal, powered with a hardwired AC cable.
Sounds amazing, though!

Yep, that's a pedalboard that I would tinker around with for more than five minutes.

The build is straightforward so far. Boring, even.
You can see the 6 LDRs around the LED. I used 600 grit sandpaper and sanded the surface of the LED to get more sideways diffusion onto the LDRs.

Done! Works. Interesting sound. Takes a little bit of effort to dial in the trim-pots, but all good!
