That really is a good one now. Are you keeping it?
About 12 years ago I sold my super clean 1965 Super Reverb. EVERY time I think about it, I regret selling. I've never seen another one as nice.

The Vibrolux is the "little brother" to the Super and for home use I think may be the better amp. And this Vibrolux is as clean as the Super was.

So long story short... yep. This one is going alongside my Dr Z Maz 18s as a keeper.

Great to hear that, especially as you've put so much work into it. Beautiful sounding amps.

One last parting gift from the restoration... I tried the footswitch for the first time today. It is just 2 switches, what could go wrong? Well, both switches have failed. Neither switch reliably.

Lucky they are standard Carling SPST ON-OFF footswitches so can be replaced after the next order to my supplier. In the mean time I've made a temporary footswitch using regular pedal stomp switches.

This amp is the gift that keeps on giving.

Have been playing through i for a few hours now. Sounds magical.

But. There is a physical rattle, and it goes away when i tilt the amp forward (but not backward).

Back onto the bench...

I'm sincerely hoping it isn't a failed speaker. That would suck.

This must be so frustrating and I hope it isn’t the speaker.

Smoking gun... glue has failed. Fortunately an easy mechanical fix.
