I have a D3, the LED light in it is on but it is not turning off, the reason is that both the plus and minus wires of the D3 adapter were connected to each other.

Could that be a faulty zener diode? The DD-3 has a few of these to prevent wrong polarity.

I was wondering if Laurie or anyone else knows a common substitution for Q9? 2SC732 has a E-C-B pinout so you'd have to twist a 2N3904 around a bit. I have to order the mode switch I might get a handful of Q9 substitutes while I'm at it. I'll report back if I find a good one

I've always managed to harvest one with the right pin-out from an old board in the junk box (not a pedal!).

The electrical characteristics of Q9 aren't critical. Just a good general purpose NPN transistor.

Hey there, I have an issue with my dd3, it's seems to work but it does a weird sound when turned on, even with batteries, how can I solve this? Could it be a faulty cap? What it could be? I have a video showing the issue, where can I post it so I can send you guys the link?

Upload the video to something like Youtube? Hard to tell what the issue is without hearing it.

THAT is a new fault. I've never heard that particular problem. What is the year of manufacture of the pedal? Use the serial decoder here:
