I recently bought a new M5pro Macbook Pro and wanted to install Tone Studio (I use a version for my GX-10 and a different one for my Katana Artist Gen3 combo amp) and discovered I need to install something called Rosetta. I really didn't want to do that and I can still use the programs on my older Intel MBPs and/or Win10 Dell PC for now.
They will need to update at some point but I wonder when?
Google says,
"Boss (Roland) has not officially announced or released a native Apple Silicon (ARM) version of Boss Tone Studio that completely bypasses the need for Intel-based architecture or translation layers.
Current Status: Boss Tone Studio builds for macOS are still Intel-only apps that rely on Apple's Rosetta translation environment to run on M1, M2, M3, and M4 Apple Silicon Macs."
