Much better demo than the one I found on youtube.
To me it shines when you played something softly on guitar, it sounds like a nice, fuzzy, light over drive.
Only if you like compressors sustainers, I think it would create a longer tail in the notes, and will make it sound even better.
Thank you!

I'm pretty sure that it could sound smoother with a compressor. I only used my BOSS Limiter, but it didn't have too much to do. The waveshaper part of the pedal does indeed work best if you don't play loud stuff.

These are great videos! So well done!
Thank you!
...also jealous of the condition of those old BOSS pedals!

Thanks a lot! And yes, some of the BOSS are indeed in very good shape. I regret having had to sell the VB-2. The SG-1 is a friend's unit. I have to do a new demo with my DC-2, which was repaired by Laurie some years ago. This is almost in mint condition as well.
I haven't had too many BOSS pedals with lots of battle scars, now that I think of it.

I also revisited the KORG FLG-1, I went to a gig last week the guitarist had a great flanger sound turned out to be the flg-1, its been driving me crazy "where have I seen this before?"

Thank you!
The KORG FLG-1 (same as Yamaha FL-01 - I think Laurie has one on his board!) is indeed a fantastic flanger. The unit that I used for my video is from a local musician. Last month I visited his recording studio for the first time and he had lots of expensive gear in his room. Besides some rack effects there were only a few pedals: a BOSS CE-1 and GE-10, HM-2, RE-20 ... and the KORG FLG-1.

Another new demo video, after only 9 months this time!
This is another creation from the maker of the Seppuku FX pedals. It will be reissued under the Seppuku flag soon. Modulated delay with an envelope for time, volume and repeats. Some wild sounds can be found inside, as well as pretty convincing BOSS SG-1 Slow Gear tones!
