Hot Box Rev Tank
Picked up one of these for cheap. Sonically quite good. So unknown that I can't even find a manual on line.

Maybe this will help?

Re: Hot Box Rev Tank
Looks cool. And it is quite cheap, at least at ebay and Reverb. I just looked up "Hot Box Pedals" at the effectsdatabase. They have mini-sized pedals and other three-knobbed units that were all designed by Moen in China (Mini Series and Ulite Series). I suppose the Rev Tank is a rebranded Moen pedal as well. The overall layout reminds me of the "Buffalo" of their Vintage Series:
I cannot find a Moen reverb pedal with six knobs, so maybe the Rev Tank is something that they only sell as rebranded units.
@Luke Drifter: you have had the Moen Fuzz Moo from the Vintage Series as far as I remember and you stripped the paint off and wrote "Mayhem Fuzz" on it, am I correct? Did you manage to purchase an original Righteous Tones Sonic-Mayhem Fuzz in the last years?

Re: Hot Box Rev Tank
The HotBox pedals all seem to be rebrands of something generic.
At the same time as the Rev Tank, I picked up a HotBox LoopTune. There are at least 3 different brandings of the same pedal that I've found. I ended up downloading the manual for a thing called a "Looper Pro" that is the same pedal, painted black instead of white and different branding.
With only one button to control all functions (the footswitch) it takes a bit of getting used to, but it has excellent clarity, 4G of memory, and is cheap.

Re: Hot Box Rev Tank
The other thing about the Rev Tank - no battery. External power only.
Interestingly, I googled the Canadian distributor for Hot Box (Starlite Distribution) and this is what came up:
https://www.google.com/maps/place/Starl ... 80.2758312
Looks like someone out of a basement...
Ohhhh... and their website has been suspended:

I think it was in the description of the pedal in a reverb.com ad.laurie wrote: ↑Fri Dec 23, 2022 5:30 pmThanks! Where did you find that?fernieite wrote: ↑Thu Dec 08, 2022 2:02 pmMaybe this will help?

Re: Hot Box Rev Tank
I've been chasing down some noise and tone-suck in the pedal chain for a few weeks. It is this Rev Tank pedal.
I don't know if I have a bad version, or if they are all like this, but it had to come off the board. I'll be keeping an eye out for a well priced Boss reverb on kijiji to replace it.

Re: Hot Box Rev Tank
I bought one of these in the same batch of pedals:
https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/ho ... 4/14973810
. .
It is a credible clone of a King of Tone and seems well made with 3PDT footswitches.
I was thinking that the Rev Tank would be similar, but no. I pulled the Rev Tank apart and it uses a non-3PDT bypass system with one of those tiny PCB mounted momentary tactile switches. Because of the microscopic SMD build it would take more time that I was prepared to give it to trace the circuit and figure out what the actual type of bypass is - it is likely FET, and it is definitely noisy. To be clear, the noise isn't "overwhelming". It is faint, and the tone-suck in bypass is minimal - but they do exist.
It isn't up to the standards of the other pedals on the board (e.g. it feeds into a DD-6 that is silent and rock solid) so the Rev Tank has gone into the box of pedals to be sold. It will make a good cheap reverb for someone just starting out.
