Dirk... GRRRRR
Clues so far:
- The pedal I received is black, with orange controls and has many a brother from another mother.
- The brand name shares it's first half with another brand.
- This one comes under many brandnames, you are correct in stating it is an overdrive. Fuzzbuzzfuzz also was correct in that it is an overdrive.
- It's really easy if you consider it's an analog pedal, but the brand name suggests otherwise.
- Digitech - closer to the truth... about 1/2 way.
What is is NOT:
- Boss HM-2 is not correct
- Yamaha Ph-100 not correct
- BOSS HM-3 not correct
- Aria AOD-1 Overdrive not correct
- It's not Boss, not Aria either
I've searched for a black overdrive with orange controls and have come up empty. There are PLENTY of orange (or orange-ish) pedals with black controls.
This is the only thing I can find with the right colour scheme... and I'm sure it isn't correct:

I have a feeling it will be obvious once it is revealed, but right now I'm stumped.

I haven't seen the pedal before. And I haven't heard about the brand before. It's a difficult beast to guess.

Okay, last clues before I reveal it. Although I must admit I had some fun with this guessing game.
It is on the effectsdatabase site.
On of its brothers is named after a wild feline animal, and another after a type of surface-to-air missile.
And remember:"it can't be all work, and no play".

Alas! One more hint: the company designed and made one of, if not THE, most iconic pedal of all time, which was sold under the famous brand name I spoke of before.

It should be the Digiplay OD-30! Would have never guessed it without this final hint hahaDirk wrote: ↑Fri Jan 01, 2021 7:46 pmOkay, last clues before I reveal it. Although I must admit I had some fun with this guessing game.
