New analogue compacts? They do only come in Waza-form these days. As much as I like that BOSS does those pedals, it's nothing really new. They are "only" great models from the past wih small improvements. The last new non-Waza analogue compact pedal was the MD-2 Mega Distortion. And it was announced EIGHTEEN years ago.Scarymonsta wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2019 9:03 amI do hope it isn't the end of single function, analogue compacts....The_Doc wrote: ↑Thu Jun 13, 2019 7:22 amI could be wrong but I think this might be it. I haven’t seen these before.

Does it seem weird to anyone that these aren't even being released until September? It's basically a cut down 500 series, so why such a long lead time?

My experience is that this is not unusual for Boss.sclitheroe wrote: ↑Mon Jun 17, 2019 2:46 amDoes it seem weird to anyone that these aren't even being released until September? It's basically a cut down 500 series, so why such a long lead time?
Here in the UK, for example, things are announced at NAMM, etc, and they don’t appear here for months. It seems very strange to me, from a marketing angle, that a company like a Boss don’t have stocks in place, world wide, on launch day. If you are going to do an expensive launch (PR, videos, etc), then why not cash in on that whilst the interest is peaking. I just don’t understand this strategy.

Old school... haven't adapted to the new world of instant gratification and social media.
I predict Boss will gradually lose market share over the next 10-20 years then fold.

Anyone know what the red book is in the video for the new 200 series pedals?
