Building a Boss pedalboard based on the IR-2

Post by laurie » Sat Jul 25, 2026 10:24 pm

In front of the IR-2:
  • DS-1 transition (MIT but with MIJ internals)
  • SD-1 MIJ
In the effects loop of the IR-2:
  • BF-2
  • DM-2w
  • CE-2w - stereo out
  • RV-5 - in stereo
Feeding into my workshop rig of a pair of Yorkville powered mid=highs, and an 18" JBL sub.

I'll post pics as i get it setup.

Sounds like a decent set up 8-)

How are you finding the IR-2, Laurie?

Haven't really used it much yet. I need to build the board around it.

Starting the board build. CE-5 standing in for the CE-2w and DD-6 standing in for the DM-2w until they arrive.

Small enclosure will be the IR-2 channel change footswitch.
