* Also I have to mod the SD-1 I started noticing the bypass bleed with humbuckers. Otherwise I love coming back to the basics

BOSS pedal randomly turns on
Has anyone experienced this? I am actually using a plain old DS-1 (~2005 version, a few tasty mods
) if on daisy chain it will eventually just turn on by itself. It was making me question myself for a while until I saw it happen. I am going to add a small cap on one side of the flip flop and see if that does it.

That's weird. Never seen that.
Perhaps a leaky capacitor?

The basics are simply fantastic!!!.
I think I have been playing too long with the same set-up. When I add other pedals to the board, I tinker around with settings and before we know it, I play with sound rather than just music and songs and whatever needs doing.
Today did play with the DM2, I really have some difficulty with the pedal: Find it too subtle and the delay time is perhaps a little short. But maybe I have not played it enough............
I started reading about settings and other ideas with regards to the DM2, and I think I may compare it too much to my other analogue delays such as the Memory Man or the DOD.
No, I think the DM2 is great, I just need to understand it better. The labelling does not help, but that should not be a excuse!
Oh back to pedals turning itself on: I need to start using other ones again to see if I notice anything. I usually turn them off by accident, but that is another thing really...

OK confirmed now its dirty power, this is the rig under my bench at work and a totally different pedal is doing the same thing. but I will say the DS-1 was doing it very frequently! I bet a proper isolated power supply would solve it but its not a gig and and its not a recording rig , just a freakish power situation.

I've never seen that, but it makes sense.

I would try cleaning the DC input jack (toothbrush, isopropyl alcohol), also the daisy chain plugs.
