Not my thing but I can see it finding a use with some people.

I note it includes (as a download) the BF-2. Nice one, Boss, now can we have the real thing, pretty please with sugar on?

A BF-2w would be a great stocking filler for Christmas. :D

Nope. Nah. Uh uh.

Stinks of an annuity revenue cash grab. Like when BMW made users pay a subscription to use the already installed seat heater (no I don't drive a BMW).

Plus. "COSM".

Many more PX-1 effects will be added over time, and each new effect will be available with a low-cost Model Pass within the BOSS Effect Loader app.

It ain't COSM; they ditched that a long time ago. Digital, yes, COSM, no.

I know. I just can't see the point in a digital SP-1.

Well, if it sounds good and behaves like the rare red original unit, then why not? The pedal models have to be 100% convincing. It could be possible with today's DSP power.

Can’t be any good really through - it hasn’t even got a thumbscrew, silver or otherwise  ;)

Yes, just like the Twin pedals it has a hexagon socket screw so that people don't fiddle around with it. I suppose it's better this way to keep the display intact.

But it looks ... strange. Really, how can such an ugly thing leave a factory? They should have placed the display on the control plate and use four small knobs instead of the three big ones. The treadle looks so false! The strange chopped-off TU-3s does almost look great in comparison to the PX-1.

I don't mind the look of it but I'm wondering how the functionality of the 4 control pedals is affected by the layout.

From an aesthetics standpoint, I rather like the blue control knobs.

Yes, but (but) ... the allure of the SP-1 is the rarity? The effect itself isn't terribly interesting. Same for the SG-1.
