A Rhodes Mark I from 1975. Wish I could play better (I am a guitar player) but I love the sound.
Here it is just the opposite. I'm definitely better on keyboards, but that doesn't keep me from hitting the strings.

I think I ran across your Kleinanzeigen account and was tempted to buy the DF2 but had already bought one with the funny noise. I also really would love to get my hands on a FT 2 but these are also rare and costly.
So your model does also have the noise. A Taiwanese model, I suppose? I really don't know why it wasn't noticed by BOSS back then. But gladly the noise vanishes with another buffered pedal in the signal path.

The FT-2 has always been expensive. I received mine from Britain about 13 or 14 years ago and it was over 100 EUR already, but mint in box. I won't give it away! It always sounds a bit muffled in comparison to other lowpass filters, but the sound is impeccable.

I had an impulse buy today and now am looking forward to a EH-2 (mainly for the Rhodes).
That could result in good sounds! The rare and old BOSS SP-1 is said to having been very popular with rhodes players in the '70s to freshen up the sound. In my SP-1 demo video I included examples with my KORG D1 stage piano. The EH-2 could lead to similar results.

I have a PH-3 and I only really like it for the UP and DOWN modes that can sound great with string sounds on a keyboard. The other modes aren't too convincing or spectacular, especially the 4-stage mode, which I would consider as the most important mode. Our dear Laurie has always said that the PH-1 was the best compact BOSS phaser and since I received an own model I have to agree. The PH-1R is lacking something - the PH-2 with its 10-stage and 12-stage phasing is a totally different beast and it doesn't offer subtle sounds.

Phasers that I really love with Fender Rhodes sounds are the '80s KORG KPH-401 module and the '70s KORG FK-2 Mr. Multi, which is my go-to phaser for the stage when playing piano.

The small board in the picture with all the Choruses is the testboard for finding the Chorus version I like best. Interestingly the CE2 lost against the CE5.
This is indeed interesting. I really like the CE-2, but I prefer the bass model CE-2B, because of the effect volume knob and overall it has the same sound to me. I have never had a CE-5, but hearing this I might like to hunt one down to confirm your statement. :geek:

Welcome Dote and great to have you here. That’s a good looking collection.

A very Happy Christmas to you too. :)

I’m also a guitar player who likes to play a keyboard occasionally. I’ve never played a Rhodes but I do have a few old synths kicking around to satisfy that urge !
