Not a bad guess, zentropa! It's not a Keeley. The pedal's colour is quite similar, but the colour of the original pedal, that this one is mimicking, is another one.
Other guesses would be some form of Nobels ODR-1 or a Wampler Belle

You've got the right colour of the actual pedal. But it doesn't sound like the pedals that you associate with this colour ...

I hope that our Admin will come up with more hints. I'm still certain that I know which pedal was sent to him.

As for what Laurie sent me:
- the pedal's colour is greenish, but the sound is that of both of its primary colours. :geek:

Hello all,

A pedal finally arrived much to my surprise! Thanks to the sender!

Hints:

It’s got more than four knobs
It’s not made in the Far East
It has been cloned very closely!

Ah, now we're complete!

I give further hints for what Laurie sent me:
- it is from a well-known European brand that has been taken over by one of the largest locusts in the music instrument business
- the enclosure is very rectangular

@Pepe, is it the Joyo vintage overdrive?

No, it's not Joyo, but it's an overdrive.

Bingo! It is the TC Electronic Cinders, which is greenish, but in fact it is a BOSS BD-2 Blues Driver (blue/yellow) clone.

Is it a Z.Vex Fuzz Factory tribute?
