Re: Christmas Pedal Tour anyone?
I did it the other way round already. I purchased a pedal and it was sent to a friend in Los Angeles. No problems whatsoever.
Re: Christmas Pedal Tour anyone?
How you did that Pepe?
I once corrected a small detail in my PayPal address and a Japanese seller contacted me saying that there was a mismatch in my address, that's why I'm skeptical about this.
One more question, is there a Brazilian ebay?
I just tried to find it and it is the same regular ebay, but in portuguese.
Searching "pedal Boss" gave me sellers from around the world and the option "Item location" has only: Standard, Only USA, North America, Europe and Asia.
From your country, can you isolate sellers from Brazil only?
Re: Christmas Pedal Tour anyone?
I have the same issues with taxes and import duties here in Thailand, so I will spectate again....

Re: Christmas Pedal Tour anyone?
I purchased the pedal through ebay/Germany and selected my friend's address in Los Angeles in the PayPal payment. Also worked with a few CDs.
Re: Christmas Pedal Tour anyone?
Okay, but in this case the problem with the import taxes at the receiver's country is not solved, unfortunately.
It would be necessary to find somehow an ebay seller inside the receiver's country, selling a pedal suitable to be a present.
In Europe, USA, Japan, etc., people uses ebay to sell even a cheap pedal, but here in Brazil this is not the case.
Just to give you an exemple, remember when I said that I was looking for a SD-1 MIT new silver label SMD and noticed that the 9V jack in those new SMD pedal the hole is shifted to the input side of the pedal? I bought that used one locally and it costed me R$ 400,00 = € 78.41, for an used, in good condition SD-1, it was cheap!
After entering Brazil, with the addition of shipment cost and taxes, a pedal will not be put for sale in an international sales platform, like ebay, simply because it would be too expensive for foreigners to buy.
Take a look, this is a local e-commerce search for used Boss pedals, to convert to Euro you just multiply the prices by 0,196:

I'm in America and I've bought a new pedal online from a Canadian store and had it sent directly to the Canadian recipient. It was Laurie if I remember correctly. It can be done, might be tricky with non-english pedal websites.

Yes - the delivery worked flawlessly.
(I did a true-bypass mod on the pedal and it has been on my board ever since)

Well, we could do a tour with three people only ... but I bet that there are a few more participants.
Come on, before I'm going to send e-mails!
