Oh, it seems like it's something completely under Laurie's radar what I sent to Dirk.
I reckon it warped under his radar.

Indeed it is, well done Joske.

I can tell you something, this pedal has the craziest amount of low end ever! :o
Not sure what kind of guitar players would use this though?
You almost need a subwoofer to make it useful, disabling the need for a bass player. That's gonna go sit well with your band mates!
My verdict, the tone itself is very metal oriented, but too much low end plus the large form factor, in- and outputs reversed, crazy AC adapter make it very pedalboard unfriendly. There's better solutions for this type of tone out there. I think H&K missed the point here.

Maybe it's an AW-3 then?

So it wasn't my tube amp only! I already wondered how low this thing goes that the push button almost did no effect to my 12'' Eminent speaker of my Marshall MA50C. With low gain settings I managed to make some cool sounds with my Jazz Bass. I hope you can find a use for it somehow. For me a big plus was that it has a sweet spot in the mid-range. That tone knob has limited action, but the sound is quite punchy.

In any other case flip it for something nice! ;)

The BOSS pedal that I received is no AW-3, either.
Another big clue: so far I never felt much love for BOSS pedals with this colour.
