I sold my old scope last year. I just never bonded with it... I know that sounds weird, but scopes are like amps - you either like them or you don't.

Cool. What's it telling you about that pedal's circuit board? That wave on the monitor means something, right?

Yep. Overdriven sine wave, with even harmonics.

That waveform was from a sick Lovepedal Les Lius that was on the workbench. It was lacking amplitude and waveform symmetry. Turned out to be the input buffer transistor - first one I've ever seen fail.

Maybe. I have an idea for a Germanium overdrive that, to my knowledge, has never been done before in the way I'm thinking.

I have hundreds of low-gain Germanium transistors that didn't "make the cut" for the Fuzz Architect pedals that could be used ...

That sounds promising!

Laurie, could you build a design based on a circuit you put into your guitar? Not interested in a pedal really. As you mentioned you have a lot of low gain transistors, a circuit like this may fit the bill.
Maybe some other folks here may be interested as well.

I am not sure if you would need to know specifics of the guitar, since this could turn it into a "one-off custom idea" which is less interesting for you.
Just let us know what the possibilities are, and also, if other people are interested in something like that as well.

For me, I would like it, just one sound, ideally operated by a push-pull button.
