An adjustable power supply for testing pedals and designs.

Made using prototyping board (what I used to call "vero-board" years ago). I used speaker spring-terminals for the output - wired in parallel, I use one set to connect to the multi-meter that shows the output voltage.

What does the 2 watt resistor across the output do? I don't understand its function in the circuit.

The LM317 holds regulation better if it always has some load.

Some pedals draw only a few milliamps and the LM317 regulates correctly if it has 10mA or greater load.
