mind you , it would have been easier to make bad jokes about inappropriate touching or golden showers if i'd gone the prostitute route (root)

This is Canada's Olympic clothing supplier.

And this is their logo. What would you say the translation into Strine would be?

The name always receives bad jokes. It is supposed to be "Hot Tone", but put together as one word.

Joske_Turbo: is it a Guyatone pedal? Maybe a PS-019 Phase Shifter? (Wild stab in the dark. ;) )
Pretty close already! It's not a Guyatone pedal though, but it is a phase shifter :)
Other candidates:

Seiwa SC-1 Phaser
Tokai TPH-1 Phaser
Tokai TPH-2 Phaser
Vesta Fire Stereo Phase

One of these? :)

The pedal I received is black, with orange controls and has many a brother from another mother.

Pepe - you were on the right track with "wah". But which one?

And can someone please own-up to being my Santa? I need to know who to thank...
