One issue i see is that there isn't enough users on this site. I don't think 550 users is enough. I last logged in on 5/11/26 it's been a whole day and there wasn't one new/unread post for me. The newest member joined on 5/11/26 and hasn't posted. I wish i could do more to help, but i feel forums are just dying.
550! That many! :o

I'm quite happy with 20 or 30

Quality over quantity, particularly when you see the argumenbts and idocy of some FB pages

There are many long term loyal members here, knoweldgeble and trustworty. That's a precious thing.

Maybe. But finding old, but relevant information in a facebook or Instagram account is (for me) a p.i.t.a.
+ some of us old guys aren't on Facebook, Instagram, etc. For me, it's the forums or nothing...
I thought Facebook was for old people? My daughters seem to think so anyway

I've little interest in Facebook or Instagram for discussions personally (although Instagram's okay if you just want to look a pictures/short videos of gear). They just don't seem as suited to more indepth conversations and being able to refer back to information in earlier posts. Forums work much better for this imho.

100% agree. Regardless of what the member list might state, there's probably only 20-30 "active" members here? Maybe not even that. But it's still a great community and a brilliant resource for information about pedals etc.

My local Lodge says that and they have been dying for years.
