I have a small very controllable heat-gun that I use for heat-shrink tubing. Careful heat often works - if the metals are dissimilar enough the heat causes expansion at different rates and that releases the binding.

Fixed. Tested. Shipping back.
The reverse protection diode was also burned out. Needed some track repair. All done.
