I absolutely love this pedal! he's not really known for playing lead but I found this is the perfect lead pedal, lot of sustain but a lot of dynamics too. About the knobs, it does seem like a lot, but every single control is more or less a level knob. so its just like setting a small mixer, as opposed to trying to memorize fuzz factory settings I found its a lot easierBearBoy wrote: ↑Fri Jan 30, 2026 2:23 pmHow do you find the Shields Blender? I'm a big fan of MBV but tend to get option blindness with too many controls on pedals. That many on a fuzz seems overkillchromandre wrote: ↑Thu Jan 29, 2026 1:13 amI have been experimenting with "sag" effect on the fender shields blender but it is a completely different feel like a hard tremolo(at least i dont know of any amp that behaves like that!! )![]()

Aha! I had to do a Google search, because you lost me at some point. So the Fender Shields Blender was made in collaboration with Kevin Shields from the band My Bloody Valentine.

Interesting. Maybe it won't be quite as daunting as I imagined. It's definitely on my list!chromandre wrote: ↑Sun Feb 01, 2026 4:59 pmI absolutely love this pedal! he's not really known for playing lead but I found this is the perfect lead pedal, lot of sustain but a lot of dynamics too.
