RV-2 - Original Power supply.
RV-2 - Original Power supply.
Much to my excitement I managed to score a boxed RV-2. Unfortunately it was missing the original PSA 240 power supply. I have a few vintage ones but none seemed to fit in the packaging. As there are a multitude of different versions of the PSA 240 I’m struggling to find the right one. Does anyone here own a boxed UK RV-2 with the original PSU that could show me which version is the correct one. Or even how it sits in the packaging.

Re: RV-2 - Original Power supply.
My RV-2 pedal is in great condition but the packaging is not the best. I’ve been looking for a better one for many years - one day ! However, this is how I received mine and the power supply is a standard PSA - 240. I can’t be sure if that power supply was with the original pedal.
Hope this helps.

Re: RV-2 - Original Power supply.
Just had another thought that might be more useful !
I do have a factory fresh/mint Boss PSM-5 and I’d guess that the packaging and power supply arrangement are very similar, or, the same, as the RV-2. I am certain this one is all original. I see that the PSA-240 is an older model that is a different shape and slightly bigger than the one in my previous post.
(with the PSM-5 there are the additional power cables that can be seen at the bottom of the box).
If you have any questions, please fire away.

@The_Doc thanks so much for taking the time to send the pics. It may have inadvertently answered my question but the plot thickens…
I also have a factory fresh PSM-5, the previous owner bought it and never even opened it:
I'm struggling to upload pics, bear with me...

Thanks Laurie,
Ok, so now with some compressed images. My PSM-5 was unopened and came with the original PSA 240 in a little box:

Re: RV-2 - Original Power supply.
My RV-2 came like this, so the extra little divider was perplexing me as none of my PSA 240' s fitted:

Re: RV-2 - Original Power supply.
I think I've solved the mystery! (it was staring me in the face all along!) on the back of the boxes is a reference to the power. The PSM-5 say E 240, whereas the RV-2 says 220 D N S, so I think I have a Japanese RV-2 that would use a PSA 220? that looks a bit smaller and so I imagine it would fit the little insert. Anyway thanks to you all for getting involved, I love it when I can get a solution to a problem like this.
