Is the EVH connection because this is what he used later on to thicken up his tone? Like 1984/5150 era?

Cool! I think I'll stick with the DD-500, but that looks like more fun to program honestly!

just wanted to point this out in case there was any confusion, EVH version is more than just a paint job, youd get the ability to do a wet/dry/wet rig as van halen had:

There's been a bit of a price drop on these. Andertons in the UK are now quoting £349 for the SDE-3000D and £489 for the SDE-3000EVH.

Still a bit pricey to get me to bite but thought someone might be interested.
