Stripped silver screw hole

My silver screw PH-1R just arrived. However, the hole for the silver screw in the body is stripped! :x

Does anyone know of a quick fix for this?
Thanks.

Update: The really weird thing is that my black screw from my DD-2 fits nicely into the PH-1R.

Also, the silver screw from the PH-1R will work for the DD-2! Makes no sense to me... :?:

Does it look like a genuine silver screw?

Assuming that it is genuine... the fact that it fits properly in the DD-2, I agree makes no sense.

Yes, it looks like the original silver screw.

I wonder if there's something I could coate the threads with to make it tighter in the hole? Blue Loctite? Super glue?...

I don't think there is much that can be done? Anyone have any ideas?

Update again: Well, I decided to try swapping my other silver screw pedals with the PH-1R, and they both worked!

My 78 DS-1 and 79 CE-2 silver screws fit into the PH-1R and vice versa. The CE-2 had the exact same head shape, so I used that screw for the PH-1R.

It's still a mystery to me. I can only speculate the the PH-1R needed a divorce.from it's original silver screw of 43 years.

Yes, it seems to be fixed. The head-scratch is why it happened?

I probably should have put that reply on fernieite's post, not yours :?
