polarity / wiring on FV500H expression output

Can someone verify the exact wiring on the EXPRESSION output of a FV500H expression pedal? The manual does not specifically say TRS, RTS or TS. I cannot make these units work at all with my stomp pedals where other expression pedals work fine. I assume a standard TRS cable should work but since the manual does not say it specifically I wanted to explore the possibility that maybe a reverse polarity wiring is needed to make these things work. Anyone else had issues using the FV500H as an expression pedal on modern high end stomps?

Swap T and R on one end of the cable and see if it fixes it.

that was next on my chores list... just curious if anyone else had these issues?

Yes, but not with Boss/Roland gear. Was connecting expression pedals to a Fractal AX8. Had the same symptoms. 100% fixed with T and R swapped. YMMV with Roland gear.

yes... got around to making a cable tonight... swapped the tip and ring... wahla! Can't believe nobody makes those cables. Time for some cable making action...

ring/tip swap worked. These pedals likely work well with BOSS pedals and pretty much nothing else.

This could explain why an old Bespeco expression pedal I have won't work with the RV-6. Funny thing is, it works fine with the GT-5. Time to break out the soldering iron....mwahahahahaha!

Edit to add: This may not be the solution I wanted - but I'll try anyhow - since the pedal has a polarity switch that doesn't make the slightest difference on the RV-6 but works on the GT-5. Oh well, nothing to lose but time, fingers, patience, what's left of my hair...

Well, well, welly well... it works perfectly! Happy, happy, joy, joy! As all the cool kids say. :D

Many thanks Steviebone for discovering this.
