Do you have any advice on how or with what to clean the footswitch rubber pad?

Apologies if this topic has been covered somewhere else. I'm new here, but I've checked first and could not find anything.

Welcome to the forum!

I use water with general purpose cleaner and use a toothbrush for all the rubber parts. Works great for me.

Same here. Unscrew the treadle and use a toothbrush in soapy water. Rinse thoroughly, use a towel to mop the water out of the sponge.

On the same topic of cleaning the exterior of boss pedals, have you been successful at cleaning (what seems to me like) humidity spots. I don't know if I'm describing those well. They are spots that sometimes present themselves over the entire pedal.

I used naphta, which I find works well for general cleaning of metal parts, including on some light corrosion, but it did not work.
I also tried WD-40 and 3-in-one oil, but they did not work either, in addition to leaving a film, obviously.

Any additional thoughts you may have would be greatly appreciated!

That is usually age/imperfections in the paint, not something that can be cleaned. Can you post a picture? (note maximum size for pic is 400kb)

That is normal Boss corrosion. Nothing that can be done about it.

I would hit that with a bit of non-abrasive car polish. For battery corrosion and proper rust, I clean the area up with vaseline. That neutralises the corrosion and leaves it looking black and clean rather than brown and crusty

Same. I might hit it with something like Meguiar's show car glaze. I use to keep a 3 part Meguiar's system for my cars (and inadvertently, my instruments). A moderately light abrasive compound, a polish, and a final wax.
