Availability problems in the UK
Almost ever site I've seen recently has a shortage of Boss pedals, right across the range. Even Andertons have very few in stock, with many of them unavailable for at least several weeks.
Is it the same elsewhere in the world?

Here in Brazil it's the same, but I guess the pandemic has a big influence in it, people are saving their money and stores are afraid to invest in a big inventory.SamXTherapy wrote: ↑Sun Mar 06, 2022 2:51 pmAlmost ever site I've seen recently has a shortage of Boss pedals, right across the range. Beside that, Brazilian currency dove down with the incompetency of the actual and previous governments, so a new pedal became a bit expensive.
On the other hand, used pedals prices are not that high here.

Looking at the Anderton's site again today, it seems there are a lot of shortages at the moment, right across the board (no pun intended). Almost every manufacturer's pedals are out of stock/preorder at the moment. Even Boss mainstays like the BD-2 and DS-1 are unobtainable.

Always a possibility but I wouldn't have thought it would affect stuff from the Far East so much. The main supply problems with Brexit have been food and other perishables from the EU. Still, backlogs cause delays right down the line so it's probably a contributory factor if not the main one.

Possibly superconductor shortages?

Yeah, especially room temperature superconductors.

I would think so, but who knows where the chips are sourced?
The way it's presented, one would think that all the chips in the world were made by that one Chinese factory that burned down.
I want the RE2 in my hands as I'm a delay junky!
