I have one too. I think they existed for 6 months vs 1-2 months for the SD-1.Pepe wrote: ↑Thu Nov 18, 2021 6:16 amI had a PH-1R with silver screw. Cannot be that rare.fuzzbuzzfuzz wrote: ↑Thu Nov 18, 2021 1:11 amas I think does the PH-1R silvers screw...but very rare.

*rare to find in the wild for purchase
Re: SD-1 silver screw
I found another SD-1 silver screw, it is a 0400 March 1981.
It's sold already for US$ 335.00, with box and manual.
One interesting detail is the picture in the manual showing it with a silver screw, I think this is a proof that really there are silver screw SD-1.

No, I have a friend in Japan, he sent me that asking if I was interested, but the price was too much and I would have to pay more for shipment and taxes, so I said no and he immediately said it was sold.
Even though it was a fast ping pong email exchange, it sold in a flash.

Re: SD-1 silver screw
Interesting. So, am I correct to assume that March 1981 (0400) was the last batch of silver screws and ink stamped serial numbers for all Boss pedals?
If so, my March 1981 (long dash, use a coin label) CE-2 is the first month of using the black screw. (It would also be the first month of using the inside serial number sticker? (040500)
I didn't realize mine was such a rarity!

Re: SD-1 silver screw
I don't remember where it came from but I have in my note that the last stamped serial was 0500. I was not aware that there was overlap (stamped and sticker serial in the same month). It's good to know.fernieite wrote: ↑Mon Feb 14, 2022 1:59 pmInteresting. Interesting. I think I should start a new thread on this for reference...sebastien32 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 14, 2022 2:27 pmI don't remember where it came from but I have in my note that the last stamped serial was 0500.
