BOSS Pedals you sold like a fool and are thinking of rebuying!
Re: BOSS Pedals you sold like a fool and are thinking of rebuying!
I have both and I think they sound the same. The extra switching options on the Waza are useful too. Here’s a gratuitous photo of both with some friends

The toggle switch on the MT-2 says it all....No Waza can beat that ( I guess?..!..)

Re: BOSS Pedals you sold like a fool and are thinking of rebuying!
I sold almost all my old Boss pedals because I needed the money and wasn't using 'em at the time. I regretted it then and still regret it, even though I replaced some of them.
DM-2
BF-2 (transitional model with black label and black screw, old type knobs, MIJ)
CS-2
OC-2 (newer "octave" version)
I also unloaded a lot of non-Boss stuff that I could kick myself for, Small Stone (old style logo and case), Electric Mistress (18v rev 4 with SAD 1024 chip), Jen Cry Baby and several others.
Since then I replaced the DM-2 with a DM-2w and the BF-2 with another, even older one than my original. Haven't bothered with the CS-2 or OC-2; I'm not currently using a compressor and I have a Whammy DT for pitch shifting/octave duties.

I'm on my second PW-2. It's terrible, and also terribly underrated.

My sentiments exactly. I don't really love it through and through, but I cannot part with it, either. I got it quite cheap ten years ago or so, like new in box with papers. In twenty years it might be one of my highlights in my collection.

I've not played with my PW-2 for ages. Must dig it out and give it an airing.
Re: BOSS Pedals you sold like a fool and are thinking of rebuying!
Luckily, I have replaced all of my '83/84 BOSS pedals that I sold in the early 90s with the exact same models.
...and then some! Haha! The early '00s was a golden era for buying MIJ BOSS, as we all know!
I do still have the original TU12H from that original board, though. I wish I had the rest of those exact pedals, just because they were mine when I was going from a ding dong kid playing in the bedroom to a gigging musician. Those pedals were with me for that time and the sentiment was strong.
The only one I haven't replaced is a CE3, but I did find a early CE2 and added analog CH1 and CE5 (as well as CE2B and CEB3) chorus pedals to the mix, so I really don't have to get the CE3. However, if one crosses my path for cheap, I'll bite!

Re: BOSS Pedals you sold like a fool and are thinking of rebuying!
I've never sold one like a fool as I always got top dollar at the time but back when these pedals and shipping/customs were cheap, I'd buy and sell them constantly.
I got to try out at least 80% of the models. Had a lot of NOS grades as well. I had to sell to be able to keep trying new ones out but I still have maybe 50 pedals. I regret selling any pedal I didn't have two of tbh
The pedals I regret selling the most are:
PQ-4 as I have a GE-7 on my board but i dont find it as good. Pretty sure either the PQ-4 or PQ-3b had a bit noise and it's why I moved on. I had a few PQ-4s sadly, some boxed.
FZ-2 because I only found a deal on it once. I'm not a huge fuzz guy and the profit was too much to not sell it at the time but it was sold for probably half what they go for now. Out of the fuzz line it was my favorite and I wouldn't sell it today had I not sold.
FT-2 So I have to apologize guys because I had at least 10, most CIB. They were rare and no one knew how to price them. I kinda got the ball rolling on inflating that pedal's price. I used to find them $50-100 and sell em $200-250 I actually liked it's sound and used the expression pedal and everything. Pretty sure I sold my last one thinking I'd find another one day but that day never came.
I miss those days...

I had a couple different FZ-2 pedals and sold them both way back when you could buy & sell them for less than $50

P.S. And ditto with a couple of HM-2 pedals back when you could buy & sell them for like $25
