I always found it very useful to see which pedal was made in what year and if there are Japanese versions, etc. It does also have the serial number decoder.

I'm going to save as much as possible and supply from the old BossArea forum on my webspace. For a few weeks now I'm saving loads of stuff from the StompBoxZone forum. A lot of the cool content has vanished for the public because of the incompatibility with recent php versions. It's a LOT of work and I will need another few weeks to compile everything that's worth being saved.

You're welcome. I needed several hours for the "New Boss Pedals" 140-pages-thread. But I think it's worth it. I revealed so many really cool pictures that are now completely hidden at SBZ.

Sadly all the great pictures of The_Doc and natthu are gone ("thanks" to Photobucket and their change of the general terms in 2017! ).

Great news! The admin formerly known as bossarea gave me a copy of his BOSS Area Forum backup from April 2010 and I got it running on my HD after some time. I can even log in with my old data. Have a look:

That is amazing! I wish we had that from the start of this forum. I'm not sure if it would be compatible, but I wonder if we could add that as a sub-section to this forum, or (less likely) fully integrate it. I've never spoke to the owner of Bossarea but if anybody here does please thank him and let him know we appreciate all his hard work.

Since the old Bossarea Forum was completely asp-based, it won't work on our php-board. I think it's the same level of incompatibility like an attempt to get a DOS 6.22 program running on an Android phone.

The Bossarea administrator registered on this forum a few days ago, so you can thank him in person.
