I said it several times in the StompBoxZone forum: the HM-3 is a killer pedal for downtuned shredding. I don't play that normally, but the HM-3 is the only pedal that I have had that creates pleasing sounds this way. Otherwise it has a great lead sound with Low at 02:00h, High at 01:00h and medium gain.

I've only had a very quick play with the HM-3 so far (it only arrived yesterday) but I'll give those settings a go - thanks Pepe!

I’ve been searching for boxed VB-2 Vibrato for many years and, this week, I found one ! Better still, it came with a boxed (!) ACA-240 power supply which, I think, supplies the required 12v. This is a very happy NPD ! Here are a couple of pix.

Are you sure that the VB-2 requires 12 volts? I have a boxed one as well, will check later on in the manual what is says about power consumption.
I was under the impression that the RV-2 was the only Boss compact which came with its own power supply since it does not have a battery clip, but then I could be wrong..................

No, that's correct. The VB-2 is an ACA pedal. I just checked my pictures of the VB-2 that I had a few years ago. I really hated to sell it, although I made some profit. I want a VB-2W ...

And the RV-2 came with a PSA power supply.
