And all that being said... the treadle will work 100% fine without washers under the screws.

I don't know who did that and how it happened. Maybe (one of) the previous owner(s) tried to repair it and used an unorthodox method. Without success.

just snagged a BF-3! I think this might be the best value average used price vs new price

Not being a Flangerfan …..

I got a nice condition High Band Flanger (HF-2) the other day

and I've gotta say

very nice, very useable

yeah I really like all the included modes! I don't think I'll ever get used to the tap tempo way easier to just use the rate knob in my opinion.

HF-2 is one of the nicest pedals I have. That subtle flanging is exactly what I need.

I fiddled around with the PH-1R's trim-pot today. I left it at the most intensive and most pleasing sounding setting and it also has a nicer modulation waveform this way. Thanks for the hint!
