Boss VE 2 vocal harmonist

Post by steelstringer » Sat Mar 14, 2026 2:11 am

I’m wondering specifically about the unison mode. Since it isn’t really harmonizing anything, do I need to plug in a guitar? I really like the doubling effect, but I don’t really want to run my guitar through the pedal. Thanks!

This seems to work without guitar, as you can read in the manual:

Thank you. I’m confused as to why you still have to select a key in unison mode since you aren’t really harmonizing with anything. Any idea?

Most likely this is unimportant for the Unison mode.
