Nice! I'm on the hunt for an MIJ DF-2 myself.

I have mystery BOSS pedal coming in.

For less the $40 shipped I figure this will at least be fun. There is a faint blue chip on it, so I'm hoping that makes a CE-2, but even in the worst case I figure its an NF-1 which makes the black paint fitting because I will convert it to an SG-1. If its anything else I might go as far as to repaint it at least the correct color.

Interesting! Whatever might be hiding under that hood, it's a great pedal for sure. I wonder if the parts are all original. If so, it's an early model, because of the set screw of the knobs.

A Slow Gear can be excluded, because who would have a reason to paint that one black? But all the others (besides the NF-1) are great as well: OD-1, PH-1, SP-1 (not really ... cannot be ... or can it?!) or the assumed CE-2.

It does look like faint blue... Hoping for a CE-2, eh?

Perhaps it’s an OD-1 and the blue chip is the undercoat ;)

This is not unlikely. Maybe it was a Jeff Beck fan! In the BOSS Book is a picture of an OD-1 on Mr. Beck's pedalboard, which was painted black.

A quad opamp OD-1 would be possibly a better score than a CE-2

I kind of hope it isn’t the SP-1 to be honest! But I agree all of them will be good and a nice surprise

That would be my first choice, the quad opamp OD1.
Then the Spectrum
Then the Slow Gear
I don't have any of the above, just a 4558 OD1. The quad opamp OD1 would get used often, the others... eh...
