Re: New BOSS pedals!
I wish I had bought an FZ-3 a few years ago when they were around 70 EUR or less.

As I said before, I feel that I boarded the last train on Boss pedal collecting, years ago.Stengah2010 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 15, 2021 1:20 pmI hadn't realised how much the FZ-2/3 pedals had gone up in price recently. I don't keep track of how much I've spent but I don't recall paying all that much for them.
The prices are becoming prohibitives!

Totally agree, if I hadn't started the quest to get all compact pedals in 2007 it would be very difficult now. The strong Australian dollar at the time, no GST on imports, and reasonable shipping costs meant I was importing from the US/Japan all the time, that's completely out of the question now.
Not to mention the eye watering prices!

A certain Mr. Frusciante at one point had one FZ-3 on his board and that fact has picked up the prices (along with many other pedals associated with him), coupled with the rarity of the TB Waza. I sold my minty example a few years back (though regretted it instantly!) but demand was so little. luckily I have acquired two more during the lag time of fame vs prices (here in Japan).Stengah2010 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 15, 2021 1:20 pmI hadn't realised how much the FZ-2/3 pedals had gone up in price recently. Same story with the FT-2, bought and sold cheap, was exceptionally lucky to find one in the junk section that was perfectly good if not beautiful when it was given thorough cleaning. They are now 38,000 yen regularly in Japan! I assume this is too artist related.
I could still collect a BOSS army at present in Japan but the prices of half the desirable vintage items are certainly massively prohibitive now compared to when I started circa 2005 ish. I'm glad I got most of what I wanted several years ago.
The biggest "shoot-up" are those early 90s issues (PQ-4, PN-2, FT-2, etc) .
Re: New BOSS pedals!
Just arrived, I bit of a bitter-sweet taste in the mouth because I didn't like the way Boss handled this pedal release.
Incredibly, I bought it here in Brazil from a Boss authorized dealer, after all this time they got them down here.
Of course the price was not cheap, US$600.00, but I could divide the amount in 12 payments with no interest, and since I would pay shipment and taxes (60%) if I had bought from abroad, not bad at the end.
I'm waiting a SD-1 4A from Japan, and then my collection will be complete.
By the way, it is number 1080.

Wow, good for you! Importing this one had been a curse for your wallet.
