For sure! Since I had the mixer out, I tried a few other stereo Boss looking for any anomalies when summing. DC3, CE5, CH1... all cancel out.
The RE2 reverb is stereo, but nothing else.
Took advantage of the situation, got out the VB2 and had fun mixing it with a dry signal for some cool 'stereo' chorus! Panning the wet/dry in various degrees is really cool for shaping the width of the listening field.

The DC-3 is NOT mono compatible?! I had sworn that it was, since the DC-2 works in a different way like all the chorus pedals with inverted output.

The VB-2 is indeed great for chorus sounds, especially with high swell values. I used that trick in my demo video years ago. In stereo this is what the CE-1, CE-3 and CH-1 can do.

Yeah, when running the A & B outs of the DC-3 (mine is the Digital Space D--got this version just for the cooler name) into 2 channels of a mixer and then summing/panning the outs to 'mono', the effect pretty much disappears. Just using output A or B (mono) sound pretty much identical/great. It's gotta the inverted out thing creating the stereo field, as the result is just the same as the CE3 in Mode I (D+E/D-E) vs Mode II. I haven't had a DC2 or DC2W in my mitts to see how it reacts to various stereo/mono hook ups.

I don't have a CE3 anymore (bought one in 84, sold it around 93*), but used the 'fake Vibrato' trick often with the stereo mode switch in Mode II when using the pedal mono. The VB2 is a much cooler/deeper version of the CE3 hack!

* Kinda want to get another CE3 (must have the black BF2 knobs to match the one I had). I don't need another chorus (have a silver screw CE2, analog CH1 and CE5, the DC3, plus Digitech WH1 and WH5 that can be run in shallow detune mode), but each chorus is unique and having a CE3 would be nostalgic. :D
