Hi everyone!
It’s been six months now that I’ve been using my GX-100 as an effects unit with my Synergy SYN-2. It’s a fantastic unit, especially considering the price.
However, there are three things that are driving me absolutely crazy:
1. The Poly Capo / Tune Down block is terrible—significantly worse than the one in the XS-1/100.
2. The Whammy block sounds a bit better, but its tracking still falls far short of the DigiTech Whammy 5.
3. The IR block is just awful in terms of frequency response and dynamics. My high-quality IRs end up sounding as if the cabinet has been covered with a blanket or placed in the next room. I know many people try to mitigate this using EQ, but it still just doesn’t sound right.
Even many cheap Chinese "toy" pedals manage to make these effects sound much more convincing than BOSS does, which is really disappointing! (((
Please, BOSS—update these blocks, and I promise I’ll stick with my GX-100 for a long time to come! )))
