For Canadian members: Boss SDE-3000D Pedal on sale

Post by Boogieman » Wed Dec 03, 2025 12:41 am

Been a long while since my last post.

Heads up to Canadian members: the Boss SDE-3000D pedal is on sale at L&M for C$349.95 (regular price C$729.99). As of this writing, the pedal is in stock and not on backorder.

I wonder if it was just a case of overstock, or if the blow out price means the pedal is about to be discontinued.

Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with Roland/Boss or L&M.

That's a great price! If I didn't already have a couple of Strymon delays I'd be very tempted.

That is a significant drop.

I have the SDE 3000d on my pedalboard …..Thomann were selling them off a while back for €225 which was a whopper deal IMO……

One useful feature I found is you can set one delay blank and use the modulation as an 80s style rack type chorus effect and still have delay on the second switch on a patch setting …..

Wow, that was a good deal. I seem to recall one of the UK shops having them pretty cheap at one point (PMT?) but not sure they were quite that low. Should have picked one up!

How do you find it, Franzoni? I've been umming and ahing about maybe getting the SDE-3 or splashing out on its big brother.

To be totally honest it was a an impulse buy with the price ….…I was looking for a delay that had a few slots that I could have for or five delay times preset so I didn’t have to fiddle around on a gig as we do a couple of Pink Floyd and U2 tunes in the set and I like a slap back echo or the Robben Ford trick of a slight slap back for a bit of ambience mixed with reverb….…I was actually looking around for a secondhand Strymon timeline or a DD 200/500 etc …as I had been using mostly the analog and Lo Fi sounds in an old Digitech Hardwire DL-8 ….

Have to say the SDE 3000d is probably wasted on me as I haven’t deep dived or taken full advantage of its capabilities but IMO sounds great especially being able to add modulation to the delay and there is a filter switch that lets you dirty the repeats a bit and of course Boss hit a winner IMO with the retro 1980s layout for people like me of certain generation who used to drool over old rack gear back in the day… :D it’s actually easy enough to use it for minor tweaks on the go but if I was a serious delay freak I’d be hooking it up to a computer …..
