Yes they both look impressive.

I just noticed them today, read on the Gear Page a thread about the XS-1, some people over there have one.

Thinking about them, I do not think you can change individual strings. I guess this would be too complex.

I have to mention something else nothing to do with those two pedals: I think Boss has made some impressive new pedals over the last few years. I do not really keep up with any new releases. Only look from time to time, and it strikes me that over the last few years they have made some great stuff.

I think you'd need something with one of those midi pickups like the VG-800 to change the pitch of individual strings.

or do it manually, which nothing beats of course.

I know, the pedal is designed for detuning on the spot during gigs. Have a few guitars around and you can do the same thing.
Anyway, it looks like a great pedal.
