RV-5 and DD-3T not affecting signal

Post by metlgod » Sat Dec 14, 2024 3:41 pm

Hello. I have 2 boss pedals. RV-5 (reverb) DD-3T (digital delay). Powered by a Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2 plus. They are 1 year old pedals and have been working fine for a year until recently. They affect the signal but after 15 mins of use they stop making verb/delay. LED is lit. Sound passes thru no problem. Just stops making the effect. I have tried a new power cable but that had the same results. After 15 minutes no effect. Sometimes if I unplug power for a min or so I get the effect back but then it stops affecting the signal. I will try battery power only next but has anyone experienced this??

Nope. With just the battery it lasts even less. About 8 minutes then no affect (reverb)

It is very weird that it is happening with two pedals. It makes me think it is external, but the only thing I could think of is heat.

Oh, that sounds like a very uncommon fault. And very uncommon is that two pedals are showing the same behaviour. Have you tried them one by one, too?

Are they linked in stereo by chance?
