Picked this up for USD$15 at Value Village today.
This type of amp is called a "Stencil", which means "made by Garnet, but not branded Garnet".

Garnets are vintage and well regarded here in Canada. They are sought after by collectors.
Calgary remains the happy hunting ground. Am happy with this find!

I'm an old fart, and a Canadian; so I approve.
Swell deal, my friend!

I'm darn near an old fart (53), however, my 39 year old wife thinks I yell at the sky like an old fart.
Garnets are cool, even for Yanks like me! I also like Yorkvilles!
Randy Bachman put them on the map for me.

And another one. A Garnet "Raven" 2x8 combo. Picked up at the thrift store for CAD$35.
It didn't work - but it was simply one of the speaker wires had become detached.
This one is a "widow maker" - it does not have a power transformer. The tubes are powered directly from the mains! Any sort of fault in the amp can put 110V on the instrument. To make it safe I've ordered a 110/110V isolation transformer to put in the back of the cabinet.

Is is 100% original. Unmolested, with original tubes. And it sounds very good!
