That pretty much sums up my thoughts on it, too.
Well, I feel that way about most copycat trends that drive prices to absurd levels. The same thing happened to Marshall 1960B cabinets, Peavey solid state amps, Peavey 5150, etc. due to metal copying. The Ibanez TS10 from John Mayer copying. Oddly, there are a large number of people copying John Frusciante, DOD FX65, Fender H.O.T., etc.
